Questions people ask
Does the app change anything without my approval?
No. You review a before-and-after preview of every product, and nothing changes until you approve. Automations on Growth and Pro are the one difference: you approve a repeating edit or product rule once when you turn it on, and each run is recorded in your edit history and can be undone.
Can I undo an edit?
Yes. Undo any edit from History, and review the reversal before it runs. Edit history is kept for 30 days on Free, 1 year on Growth and with no time limit on Pro.
What happens to my store's data when I uninstall?
The app's access to your store ends right away: it deletes its access token and cancels any scheduled edits. About 48 hours later, Shopify asks the app to erase your store's data, and the app deletes the catalog copy, edit history, saved searches and exports.
Where is my data stored?
The app runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States. Data is encrypted in storage and on its way between you, Shopify and the app.
What does Ask AI send, and is it used to train AI?
Ask AI sends Anthropic, the maker of Claude, what you typed, the app's own instructions and the list of fields your store can edit. It doesn't send product titles, descriptions, prices, customer data or your store's address. Under Anthropic's commercial terms it may not train its models on this content, and it deletes it within 30 days unless it must keep it longer to enforce its usage policy or comply with the law.
Do I need a paid plan to try it?
No. The app is free to install and has a Free plan, and Growth and Pro each come with a 7-day free trial. You choose, change or cancel your plan through Shopify.
